FIA Promotes 14 Superintendents to BS-17 Under Higher Time Scale
Interior Ministry issues notification after Secretary approves Time Scale Committee recommendations; promotions take immediate effect.

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Interior and Narcotics Control has promoted 14 Superintendents of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) from BS-16 to BS-17 under the Higher Time Scale (HTS) policy after approval from the Secretary, Interior and Narcotics Control.
According to an official notification issued on July 28, 2026, the promotions were approved following the recommendations of the Time Scale Committee (TSC)/Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) made during its meeting held on June 30, 2026. The notification states that the officers have been granted the Higher Time Scale (First Time) in BS-17 with immediate effect.

The officers promoted under the Higher Time Scale include:

- Muhammad Saddique
- Nisar Ahmad
- Muhammad Naeem Iqbal
- Hassan Mujtaba
- Ravi Shankar
- Yousaf Chandio
- Rustom Ali Sahito
- Imran Haider
- Muhammad Irfan
- Raja Muhammad Sabeel Khan
- Muhammad Ali Jumani
- Abdul Sami
The notification was issued after the approval of the competent authority, Secretary, Interior and Narcotics Control, and has been forwarded to the FIA Managing Director along with other senior officials of the ministry for implementation.
Higher Time Scale Policy
The Higher Time Scale policy is aimed at recognising eligible government officers who complete the prescribed service requirements, enabling them to receive an upgraded pay scale while continuing to serve within their respective cadres.
The Federal Investigation Agency is Pakistan’s premier federal law enforcement body responsible for investigating cybercrime, financial crimes, immigration violations, human trafficking, anti-corruption matters and other offences falling under federal jurisdiction.
