IHC Summons DC, Shalimar SHO in Mohra Noor Land Transfer Case
Court issues notices to IG Islamabad Police and other respondents, directs Deputy Commissioner Islamabad and SHO Shalimar Shafqat Faiz to appear in person, while ordering that the petitioner and his family must not be harassed until the next hearing.
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has restrained authorities from allegedly harassing Advocate Abad Abbasi and his family in a case relating to the transfer of 217 kanals and 12 marlas of inherited land in Mohra Noor, Islamabad.
Justice Muhammad Azam Khan issued a written order in Writ Petition No. 3563/2026 after hearing the petition filed by Advocate Abad Abbasi against the Inspector General of Police Islamabad and other respondents.
Court Issues Notices, Seeks Replies
According to the court order, the petitioner alleged that he and his family were being harassed and pressured to transfer their inherited property despite an earlier court order dated January 22, 2026. The petition also sought protection for the family, suspension of mutation and transfer proceedings during the pendency of the case, and disciplinary action against certain respondents.
The court observed that the issues raised required consideration and issued notices to the Inspector General of Islamabad Police, directing him to submit para-wise comments before the next hearing.
The court further directed the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad and SHO Shalimar Police Station Shafqat Faiz to appear in person at the next hearing along with their para-wise comments.
Interim Relief Granted
As an interim measure, the Islamabad High Court ordered that the petitioner and his family members shall not be harassed until further orders. The Registrar Office was directed to fix the matter for the next hearing.
The court’s order does not decide the merits of the allegations, which remain subject to further proceedings after replies from the respondents.
