Federal Government Announces Senior Officer Transfers to Sindh and Gilgit-Baltistan
Ijaz Ahmed Mahesar is posted to the Government of Sindh on deputation; Imran Yaqub is assigned to the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan; and Farukh Rashid is transferred to the Establishment Division.
ISLAMABAD: The federal government has announced a series of transfers and postings involving senior officers, including Grade 21 officer Ijaz Ahmed Mahesar and Grade 20 Police Service of Pakistan (PSP) officers Flight Lieutenant (retd) Imran Yaqoob and Flight Lieutenant (retd) Farrukh Rashid.
According to notifications issued by the Establishment Division, Mahesar’s services have been placed at the disposal of the Government of Sindh on a deputation basis, while Imran Yaqoob has been transferred from the Establishment Division to the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan. Farrukh Rashid has been transferred from Gilgit-Baltistan and directed to report to the Establishment Division.
Ijaz Ahmed Mahesar Posted to Sindh Government
Grade 21 officer Ijaz Ahmed Mahesar, who was serving as Senior Joint Secretary in the Commerce Division, has been transferred to the Government of Sindh on a deputation basis.
The notification states that the appointment will take effect immediately. Mahesar is due to retire on March 1, 2028.
The Establishment Division has also cancelled his 180 days of unused leave, comprising 120 days of Leave Fare Paid (LFP) and 60 days of Leave on Half Average Pay (LHAP), according to the notification.
Imran Yaqoob Transferred to Gilgit-Baltistan
The federal government has placed the services of Grade 20 PSP officer Flight Lieutenant (retd) Imran Yaqoob at the disposal of the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan.
Yaqoob, who had been awaiting posting in the Establishment Division, has been directed to serve under the Gilgit-Baltistan government until further orders. His transfer will take effect immediately, according to the notification issued by the Establishment Division.
Farrukh Rashid Directed to Report to Establishment Division
In a separate notification, the federal government has transferred Grade 20 PSP officer Flight Lieutenant (retd) Farrukh Rashid from the Government of Gilgit-Baltistan to the Establishment Division.
Rashid has been directed to report to the Establishment Division following his transfer. The notification formalises the change in his administrative placement.
