Islamabad Police Issues Traffic and Parking Plan for FIFA World Cup Final Public Screening at D-Chowk

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police has announced a comprehensive traffic diversion and parking plan to facilitate the public live screening of the FIFA World Cup Final at D-Chowk, urging football fans to plan their travel in advance and follow the advisory to avoid inconvenience.
According to the Islamabad Traffic Police spokesperson, a giant screen has been installed at Express Chowk (D-Chowk) for the public screening of the FIFA World Cup Final. To ensure smooth traffic flow and public safety, special traffic arrangements have been put in place around the venue.
Parking Arrangements
Visitors attending the event have been advised to park their vehicles at the following designated locations:
- Blue Area Service Road from China Chowk towards Express Chowk.
- Nazimuddin Road Service Road from China Chowk towards Express Chowk.
Authorities have requested spectators to use only the designated parking areas to help maintain orderly traffic movement.
Traffic Diversions
Islamabad Traffic Police has announced the following road closures and diversions:
- The road from China Chowk towards Express Chowk will remain closed for traffic.
- Express Chowk will remain closed to traffic from all four directions during the event.
Motorists have been advised to use the following alternate routes:
- Ninth Avenue
- Nazimuddin Road
- Fazl-e-Haq Road
The police has urged commuters to cooperate with traffic officials and strictly follow the diversion plan to prevent congestion.
