Islamabad High Court Nominates Six District Judges for Judicial Excellence Awards
Selected judicial officers will be honoured at the Supreme Court on July 25 during the National Conference on Judicial Wellbeing, organised by the Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan.
ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has nominated six judicial officers from the Islamabad district judiciary for the prestigious Commendation for Judicial Excellence Awards, recognising their professional performance in their respective judicial categories.
According to an official communication issued by the Office of the Member Inspection Team, the nominations were approved by the Hon’ble Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court following a request from the Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan.
Awards to Be Presented at National Conference
The awards will be presented during the National Conference on Judicial Wellbeing, titled “From Reform to Recognition: Building a Responsive District Judiciary,” scheduled to be held at the Supreme Court of Pakistan on July 25, 2026.
Judicial Officers Nominated by IHC
The six judicial officers nominated by the Islamabad High Court are:
- Nasir Javed Rana – District & Sessions Judge-West (District & Sessions Judge category)
- Muhammad Sohail – Additional District & Sessions Judge-West (Additional District & Sessions Judge category)
- Mubeshar Hassan – Senior Civil Judge-East (Senior Civil Judge category)
- Ayesha Shabbir – Civil Judge-East (Civil Judge category)
- Azhar Nadeem – Judicial Magistrate-West (Judicial Magistrate category)
- Sanam Bokhari – Judge Family Court/Senior Civil Judge (Guardian)-East (Family Court Judge category)
National Recognition for District Judiciary
The Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan invited nominations from high courts across the country to identify judicial officers demonstrating excellence in district judiciary.
One judicial officer from each category was nominated by the Islamabad High Court for national recognition.
Conference to Focus on Judicial Wellbeing and Reforms
The awards will be conferred during the conference at the Supreme Court of Pakistan, where judicial officers from across the country are expected to participate in discussions on judicial wellbeing, institutional reforms, and excellence in the administration of justice.
