PM’s Foreign Language Initiative Sends First Russian Language Cohort to Moscow
Ten students and two teachers from Islamabad Model College for Boys, I-8/3 departed for Moscow after successfully completing a Russian language course launched under a joint initiative of FDE, NAVTTC and NUML.
ISLAMABAD: Ten students and two teachers from Islamabad Model College for Boys, I-8/3 departed for Moscow on Saturday at the invitation of the Government of the Russian Federation after successfully completing a Russian language course launched under the Prime Minister’s initiative.
According to the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, the Russian language programme was introduced in colleges managed by the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) under a tripartite agreement between the FDE, the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), and the National University of Modern Languages (NUML).
The ministry said the initiative aims to equip young people with foreign language skills, enhance their international exposure, and prepare them for emerging educational and employment opportunities.
The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training acknowledged the contributions of FDE, NAVTTC, NUML, and the Government of the Russian Federation for their cooperation and continued support in making the programme a success.
