ISLAMABAD: A cylinder explosion sparked a fire at Galleria Plaza in I-8 Markaz on Friday, causing damage to parts of the commercial building, according to the Islamabad district administration.

Fire Brought Under Control

Officials said the fire broke out after a cylinder exploded inside the plaza. Rescue teams and firefighters responded promptly and managed to bring the blaze under control within a short time, preventing it from spreading further.

The district administration confirmed that while the explosion caused structural damage to sections of the building, no loss of life or injuries were reported.

Second Fire in Recent Days

The latest incident comes only days after another fire was reported at the same plaza, raising concerns about fire safety measures and emergency preparedness at the commercial complex.

Authorities are expected to conduct a detailed assessment of the damage and investigate the circumstances surrounding the cylinder explosion.
