TikToker Ayesha Gillamena Killed in Firing on Taxila Bypass, Sister Injured

TAXILA: A 28-year-old TikTok content creator, identified as Shamsu Bibi alias Ayesha Gillamena, was killed in an armed attack near the Taxila Bypass, while her 15-year-old sister sustained serious injuries in the incident.

According to the FIR, Ayesha had reportedly been called out of her home by phone before she left for Rawalpindi in a car with her daughter, sister and brother.

Police said unidentified armed men riding a motorcycle intercepted the vehicle near the bypass and opened fire. Ayesha sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the neck and died at the scene.
Following the firing, the vehicle went out of control and collided with an oncoming dumper, leaving Ayesha’s 15-year-old sister, Asmia, seriously injured. She was shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Islamabad, for medical treatment.
Victim Had Over 1.3 Million Followers
Ayesha was active on TikTok and reportedly had more than 1.3 million followers.
Police said preliminary investigations indicate that a financial dispute may have been behind the killing. Investigators are examining the victim’s recent phone calls and contacts as part of the probe.
Two Suspects Nominated in FIR
Taxila police registered a case on the complaint of the victim’s father under provisions relating to murder and attempted murder. Two individuals, identified in the FIR as Kausar and Javed alias Shaheen, have been nominated in the case.
Police said teams have been formed to trace and arrest the nominated suspects, while further investigation into the circumstances and motive of the attack is underway.
