ISLAMABAD: A burglary has been reported at the residence of a lady police officer in Islamabad’s Ali Pur Farash area, where unidentified individuals allegedly took around five tolas of gold and other valuable belongings from the house.
Gold, Valuables Reportedly Stolen
According to initial information shared by journalist Umar Khan, the incident occurred near Bilal Mosque in Ali Pur Farash. The house reportedly belongs to a lady police officer identified as Sara Shaukat.
Initial reports suggest that unidentified individuals entered the residence and allegedly took approximately five tolas of gold jewellery along with other valuable items. The total financial loss is yet to be determined as an assessment of the missing belongings is still being carried out.
The exact circumstances surrounding the reported break-in, including how entry was gained and when the incident occurred, were not immediately clear.
Police Investigation Underway
Police are reportedly investigating the matter. Islamabad Police’s official website confirms that Shahzad Town Police Station serves the area as one of the capital’s operational police stations.
The incident comes amid broader concerns over property-related offences in the capital. Separate crime reporting from October 2 recorded multiple theft and street-crime incidents across Islamabad, including cases within the Shahzad Town jurisdiction. Islamabad Police, meanwhile, recently directed officers in Shahzad Town to expedite investigations and intensify action against criminal groups.
