During the meeting, the delegation extended its best wishes to the newly appointed police chief and congratulated him on taking over the key law-enforcement assignment in the federal capital.

Dr Salman Haseeb Chaudhry expressed confidence in the leadership of the new IGP, saying he expected the welfare of Islamabad Police personnel to improve under Sohail Chaudhry’s command.

He also voiced confidence that the new police leadership would deliver significant results against criminal elements in Islamabad within a short period.

Referring to Sohail Chaudhry’s previous assignments, Dr Salman said the police officer had demonstrated his administrative and professional capabilities while serving in senior positions, including as RPO Multan, and expressed confidence that he would successfully handle the responsibility entrusted to him in the federal capital.

Publicly available records also show that Sohail Chaudhry has held several senior policing assignments in Punjab, including CPO Faisalabad, DIG Operations Lahore, DIG CTD Punjab and RPO Multan.
