Rawalpindi Cricket Series: Metrobus to Shut During Team Movements
Metrobus service from Saddar to Pak Secretariat will be suspended during cricket team movements, while Khatm-e-Nabuwwat, IJP Road and Sixth Road stations will remain closed during matches, according to sources.

RAWALPINDI: Metrobus operations between Rawalpindi and Islamabad will face temporary suspensions and station closures as special transport and security arrangements are implemented for international cricket activities at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Service to Be Suspended During Team Movements
According to Metrobus sources, the service between Saddar Station and Pak Secretariat will be completely suspended whenever participating cricket teams are being transported. The decision has reportedly been taken on the directions of the district administration as part of arrangements surrounding the international fixtures.
During cricket matches, however, the entire Metrobus route will not remain closed. Sources said Khatm-e-Nabuwwat, IJP Road and Sixth Road Metrobus stations will remain temporarily closed while matches are underway.
Cricket Schedule in Rawalpindi
The restrictions coincide with Pakistan’s international home cricket schedule in Rawalpindi. The Pakistan Cricket Board’s official schedule shows Sri Lanka arriving on October 4, followed by three Pakistan-Sri Lanka T20Is at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on October 9, 11 and 13.
Rawalpindi will subsequently host the opening three matches of the Pakistan-England-Sri Lanka ODI tri-series on October 18, 20 and 22 before the tournament moves to Lahore. Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will also stage the first Pakistan-Sri Lanka Test from November 9 to 13.
Clarification: While initial information describes the arrangements as relating to the October 4-November 13 cricket period, the PCB schedule confirms that this period covers T20Is, the ODI tri-series and a Test match, rather than the ODI tri-series alone.
Passengers travelling between the twin cities during team movements and match days should therefore anticipate temporary disruption and plan their journeys accordingly.
