FPSC Confirms No Change to October 10–19 Exam Schedule
CSS 2027 MPT scheduled for October 10, followed by General Recruitment Phase III tests from October 12 to 19; candidates instructed to arrive 45 minutes early.

ISLAMABAD, October 10, 2026: The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has confirmed that its examinations scheduled between October 10 and 19, 2026, will proceed according to the announced timetable, ruling out any general changes to examination dates or timings.
In a public notice issued for candidates appearing in competitive examinations and federal recruitment tests, the commission clarified that the previously announced schedule remains in effect and applicants must report to their designated examination centres on time.
According to the FPSC, the MCQ-Based Preliminary Test (MPT) for the Central Superior Services (CSS) Competitive Examination 2027 is scheduled for Saturday, October 10, 2026.
Meanwhile, General Recruitment Phase III examinations for various federal government positions will be conducted from October 12 to October 19, 2026, in accordance with the commission’s examination timetable.
Candidates Directed to Arrive 45 Minutes Early
The commission has issued strict instructions regarding reporting times and entry procedures to ensure the orderly conduct of examinations.
All candidates have been directed to reach their designated examination centres at least 45 minutes before the scheduled commencement of their respective papers.
Importantly, examination centre doors will be closed 15 minutes before the examination begins. Candidates arriving after the closure of examination hall doors will not be permitted to enter.
The instructions make punctuality particularly important for applicants travelling to examination centres in Islamabad, Rawalpindi and other cities.
Admission Certificates and Identity Documents Mandatory
The FPSC has also instructed candidates to download and print their admission certificates from its official website before appearing in the examinations.
Applicants must carry their printed admission certificates along with their original Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs), or other identification specifically permitted under their examination instructions.
Candidates are advised to review their admission certificates carefully to confirm their assigned examination centres, reporting times and other relevant instructions.
The commission has reiterated that mobile phones and prohibited electronic communication devices are not allowed inside examination halls.
Under FPSC rules, violations of examination regulations may result in disciplinary action, including disqualification where applicable.
CSS 2027 MPT and Federal Recruitment Examinations
The CSS MPT is a preliminary screening examination for candidates seeking to qualify for the subsequent stages of Pakistan’s federal civil service competitive examination.
The General Recruitment Phase III tests, meanwhile, form part of the commission’s recruitment process for advertised positions in federal ministries, departments and other government organisations.
The commission conducts these examinations to assess candidates under established competitive recruitment procedures.
Candidates Advised to Follow Official FPSC Updates
Although the FPSC has maintained the overall October examination schedule, candidates are advised to review any separate notices concerning their particular recruitment cases, as the commission also publishes case-specific announcements and instructions.
Applicants should rely on the official FPSC website rather than unofficial examination schedules circulated through social media.
Admission certificates, examination timetables and the latest public notices are available at www.fpsc.gov.pk.
For further clarification, candidates may contact the FPSC through its official helpline at 051-111-000-248 or telephone number 051-9212427 during working hours.
The commission’s latest clarification provides candidates with confirmation of the announced examination timetable while reinforcing the importance of punctuality, original identification documents and compliance with examination regulations.
