Complainant Claims Abduction, Assault Inside Islamabad Court Complex
Sajjad Abbasi claims suspects nominated in a Bhara Kahu police case assaulted and forcibly removed him from the court premises, detained him in a room and obtained signatures and thumb impressions on blank papers; he says CCTV cameras may have recorded the episode.

ISLAMABAD: A complainant in an alleged abduction case has claimed that individuals nominated in the case assaulted and abducted him from the premises of an Islamabad court, raising serious questions about security within the judicial complex.
According to complainant Sajjad Abbasi, a case concerning the alleged abduction of his mother had earlier been registered at Bhara Kahu Police Station. He alleged that individuals nominated in that FIR confronted him when he appeared before a judge’s court in Islamabad.
Abbasi claimed that he was assaulted near the courtroom entrance before being forcibly taken away from the court area. According to his account, he was subsequently confined in a room, where he was allegedly subjected to further mistreatment.
He further alleged that the individuals forced him to sign and place his thumb impressions on blank papers. These claims have not independently been verified.
Complainant Seeks CCTV Examination
Abbasi has called on the relevant authorities to immediately secure and examine CCTV footage from inside and outside the courtroom, maintaining that surveillance cameras recorded the incident and could establish what happened.
“I was abducted from inside the court. Who will give me justice now?” Abbasi said while describing his ordeal.
He also claimed that his mother remains missing and that his father previously suffered a broken leg after allegedly being struck by a vehicle. Abbasi expressed severe distress and hopelessness over what he described as repeated attempts to seek justice.
Because his statement included a reference to self-harm, the matter warrants immediate attention to his personal safety alongside investigation of his allegations.
A web search by Islamabad Tribune did not locate an independently verifiable police statement, court order or other authoritative public record confirming the specific alleged courtroom incident at the time of publication. The allegations therefore remain the complainant’s account, and the position of the accused persons and relevant authorities should also be obtained and incorporated when available.
