Islamabad Court Awards Death Sentences in Two High-Profile Murder Cases

Islamabad: Courts in Islamabad have announced major verdicts in two high-profile murder cases, awarding death sentences to the convicted accused in the killings of social media influencer Sana Yousaf and Senate employee Hamza Khan.

According to Islamabad Police spokesperson, the court awarded death sentence and fines to accused Umar Hayat in the Sana Yousaf murder case, while former SP Arif Hussain Shah was also handed death sentence and financial penalties in the Hamza Khan murder case.The court further sentenced two co-accused in the Hamza Khan murder case to life imprisonment along with fines.

DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq said Islamabad Police successfully traced both murder cases through modern investigative methods, human intelligence, and professional policing. He stated that strong evidence collection and effective investigation helped secure convictions and strict punishments from the court.The DIG added that Islamabad Police remains committed to ensuring justice for citizens and eliminating serious crimes in the federal capital through professional investigation and accountability.
