Three Cars, Same Puncture Story in 10 Minutes
A motorist says several vehicles were reportedly diagnosed with punctured tyres within minutes near Islamabad’s New Blue Area, prompting him to publicly urge drivers to seek a second opinion before authorising repairs.

ISLAMABAD: A motorist has raised concerns on social media over what he described as a suspicious tyre-repair experience near Islamabad’s New Blue Area, alleging that several vehicles were told they had punctured tyres within a short period of time.
Motorist Shares Account on Social Media
In a Facebook post dated August 8, Dr Masood Khattak said he stopped at a tyre shop in the area and was informed that two of his vehicle’s tyres were punctured.
According to Khattak’s account, other vehicles arrived at the location shortly afterwards. He claimed that three cars within a period of less than 10 minutes were similarly told that their tyres had punctures, a pattern he said appeared unusual and prompted him to question whether the diagnoses were coincidental.
Khattak further alleged that he was asked to pay Rs5,000 for five tyre patches/puncture repairs.
Call for Caution Among Motorists
The motorist subsequently advised other drivers to exercise caution and consider having their tyres independently inspected before agreeing to repairs or paying charges where they have doubts about the diagnosis.
Photographs accompanying the Facebook post show a roadside tyre-repair facility near a fuel station. The post has been presented as the personal account of the motorist.
Allegations Not Independently Verified
Islamabad Tribune has not independently established whether the tyres mentioned in the post were actually punctured, whether the quoted repair charge was improper, or whether any deliberate wrongdoing occurred.
No official finding from police, the district administration or a competent consumer authority confirming the allegations was located during our review.
The episode nevertheless highlights the importance of motorists asking repair technicians to physically show them the location of a suspected puncture before a patch is applied.
Where several punctures are claimed or an unexpectedly high repair bill is quoted, obtaining a second inspection can help motorists make an informed decision.
Tyre Business Yet to Respond
The concerned tyre business should be given an opportunity to provide its version of events. Any response or documentary evidence supplied by the business can be incorporated into the report to ensure the matter is presented fairly.
This report is based on allegations contained in a publicly shared social-media account. The allegations have not been independently proven or adjudicated by a competent authority.
Islamabad Tribune does not assert that any individual or business committed fraud, deception or any other unlawful act. The concerned party has the right to respond.
The location visible in the screenshot appears consistent with a tyre-repair operation around the Jinnah Avenue/Blue Area area, and current local listings show tyre businesses at 104 Jinnah Avenue, G-7/3 Blue Area. However, that location evidence alone does not establish which particular operator was involved in the alleged incident or substantiate the allegations. Attock Tyre Shop.
