Federal Government Inducts Nine Armed Forces Officers into Civil Services
Five officers have been recommended for the Pakistan Administrative Service, two for the Police Service of Pakistan and two for the Foreign Service of Pakistan following psychological assessment and viva voce conducted by the Federal Public Service Commission.
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has recommended nine officers of Pakistan’s armed forces for allocation to three major civil service groups following their assessment under the CSS Competitive Examination 2025.
Nine Officers Recommended for Civil Services
According to an official FPSC result issued on August 25, five officers have been recommended for the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), two for the Police Service of Pakistan (PSP), and two for the Foreign Service of Pakistan (FSP).
The FPSC said the recommendations were made after conducting psychological assessments and viva voce examinations of Armed Forces Officers.
Army, Air Force and Navy Officers Included
The nine recommended officers include six from the Pakistan Army, two from the Pakistan Air Force and one from the Pakistan Navy.
Captain Syed Atique Ur Rahman of the Pakistan Army, who secured merit position No. 1 among the listed officers, has been recommended for the Police Service of Pakistan.
Captain Syed Shehryar Khan, Captain Usama Mujtaba and Captain Haider Ali of the Army have been recommended for the Pakistan Administrative Service. Flight Lieutenant Asfa Ali Masood of the Pakistan Air Force and Captain Sheraz Ahmed of the Army have been recommended for the Foreign Service of Pakistan.
Captain Syed Taimoor Ali of the Army has been recommended for the Police Service of Pakistan, while Flight Lieutenant Ussamah Ahmad of the Pakistan Air Force and Lieutenant Ayaz Hussain of the Pakistan Navy have been recommended for the Pakistan Administrative Service.
Five Officers Allocated to PAS
The allocations therefore comprise five PAS positions, two PSP positions and two FSP positions.
The FPSC’s official results page confirms that the final result titled “Induction of Armed Forces Officers Into Civil Services Through CSS Competitive Examination 2025” was published on August 25, 2026.
FPSC Reserves Right to Rectify Errors
The Commission has also stated that while due care was taken to ensure the accuracy of the result, it reserves the right to rectify any error or omission.
The induction forms part of the established mechanism under which nominated armed forces officers are assessed for allocation to designated occupational groups and services of the federal civil service.
