Private Schools Body Challenges FBISE Affiliation Fee Hike

ISLAMABAD: All Pakistan Private Schools and Colleges Association (APPSCA) President Dr Abrar Hussain Malik has welcomed the timely announcement of the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) Annual Examination 2026 results, describing it as a positive step that has further strengthened the Board’s credibility.
In a statement, Dr Abrar congratulated FBISE Chairman Dr Ikram Ali Malik, position holders and all successful candidates on the announcement of the results. He said the timely declaration reflects the Board’s commitment to efficient examination management and benefits students preparing for higher education admissions.
Private Institutions Praised for Academic Performance
He also praised the overall performance of private educational institutions, stating that private schools and colleges have played a significant role in improving educational standards, which is evident from the latest examination results.
Concern Over Affiliation Fee Increase
However, Dr Abrar expressed concern over the recent increase in FBISE affiliation fees for educational institutions. He said the decision could create financial and administrative difficulties for schools and colleges during student admissions and examination registration.
The APPSCA president urged the relevant authorities to immediately review the increase in affiliation fees, arguing that the additional financial burden would ultimately be transferred to students and their parents. He stressed that education-related policies should support both educational institutions and students instead of increasing financial pressures.
