Motorcyclist’s Risky Stunt on New Blue Area Road Draws Attention
Viral social media footage purportedly filmed in New Blue Area shows a motorcyclist performing a dangerous road stunt; Islamabad Traffic Police is already conducting a citywide crackdown on serious traffic violations.
ISLAMABAD: A video circulating on social media has raised road-safety concerns after apparently showing a motorcyclist performing dangerous one-wheeling on a major road in Islamabad’s New Blue Area.
Video Shows Dangerous Motorcycle Stunt
The footage, shared on X on August 22, appears to show a motorcycle being ridden on one wheel while other vehicles are using the road. The social media user who posted the video tagged Islamabad Police and called for attention to the alleged violation.
The location has been described by the person who shared the footage as New Blue Area. Islamabad Tribune could not independently establish from the video alone the precise location, date and time at which the footage was recorded.
Islamabad Police Intensify Traffic Enforcement
The incident comes amid an ongoing Islamabad Traffic Police enforcement campaign against serious traffic violations across the federal capital.
According to an official Islamabad Police statement issued on August 20, legal action had been taken against 44,078 vehicles and motorcyclists during August, including 14,725 motorcyclists. Police said 2,662 motorcycles and 3,840 vehicles had also been impounded for serious traffic violations, while 544 cases were registered.
Police Target Dangerous Driving
Islamabad Traffic Police has separately directed officers to take strict action against dangerous driving, speeding, reckless lane-changing and other life-threatening traffic violations as part of its enforcement efforts.
Dangerous motorcycle stunts on public roads can put not only riders but also motorists, pedestrians and other road users at risk, particularly on busy arterial roads.
No Official Action Confirmed
As of publication, Islamabad Tribune had not independently verified any official action against the motorcyclist shown in the circulating video. Any subsequent identification, arrest, challan or other enforcement action should therefore be reported only after confirmation from Islamabad Police.
