Pakistan, Kuwait Deepen Defence Bond, Signal Stronger Strategic Partnership

RAWALPINDI: Pakistan and Kuwait have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral defence cooperation and institutional ties during high-level talks at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Thursday.
Kuwaiti Defence Delegation Meets Asim Munir
A high-level Kuwaiti delegation, led by Defence Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Saleem Al-Sabah, called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.
The delegation included Lieutenant General Khalid Darj Saad Al-Shriaan, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Kuwait.
Regional Security and Defence Cooperation Discussed
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting discussed matters of mutual interest, regional security and bilateral defence cooperation.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing institutional ties and expanding mutually beneficial defence collaboration between the two brotherly countries.
Kuwait Praises Pakistan Armed Forces
The Kuwaiti delegation appreciated the professionalism, operational excellence and valuable contributions of the Pakistan Armed Forces towards regional peace and stability.
The engagement reaffirmed the resolve of Pakistan and Kuwait to further consolidate their historic and brotherly relations into a strong, enduring and mutually beneficial defence partnership, contributing to regional security and stability.
Pakistan, Kuwait Sign Military Cooperation Protocol
In a related development, Pakistan and Kuwait also signed Protocol Agreement-2026 on Thursday to broaden military cooperation in areas including training, capacity building and border management.
