Islamabad Rain: One Dead, Another Injured as Roof Collapses in G-14/3

Police sources say the roof of a mud-built house collapsed during heavy rainfall; both victims were recovered from the debris and shifted to PIMS.

ISLAMABAD: One person died and another was injured after the roof of a mud-built house collapsed in Sector G-14/3 amid heavy rainfall in the federal capital on Tuesday, according to police sources.

The incident left two people trapped beneath the debris following the roof collapse.

Both individuals were subsequently recovered from under the rubble and shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for medical treatment.

Police sources said one of the victims died, while the other sustained injuries.

Initial information indicated that the roof collapsed during the ongoing spell of heavy rain in Islamabad. Further details regarding the identities of the victims were not immediately available.
