Islamabad ADC General Sahibzada Muhammad Yousaf Transferred to Interior Division
BS-18 PAS officer from the 47th Common, who secured 9th position nationwide in CSS 2018, transferred from ICT Administration with immediate effect; notification does not specify his next assignment.

ISLAMABAD: Additional Deputy Commissioner General (ADCG) Islamabad Sahibzada Muhammad Yousaf, a BS-18 officer of the Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS), has been transferred from the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration, according to an Establishment Division notification.
The notification, issued on September 2, 2026, states that Yousaf, who was serving in the ICT Administration under the Interior and Narcotics Control Division, has been transferred and his services placed at the disposal of the Interior and Narcotics Control Division with immediate effect and until further orders.
The order does not specify a fresh designation or posting for the officer, meaning his next assignment would be subject to a subsequent government order.
Yousaf had been serving as Additional Deputy Commissioner General Islamabad, overseeing key administrative and enforcement-related matters in the federal capital.
Civil Service Career and Professional Background
A member of the 47th Common of the Pakistan Administrative Service, Yousaf entered the civil service after securing 9th position nationwide in the Central Superior Services (CSS) examination in 2018.
Before joining Pakistan’s civil service, he studied in the United Kingdom, completing a BA (Hons) from the University of Manchester. During his student years, he also served as an International Students Officer, representing a diverse international student community.
His professional career before the civil service included experience in the corporate and financial sectors. He worked with PwC UK as an Associate from 2012 to 2015 and later joined AWT Investments Limited in Islamabad, where he worked in financial and investment advisory.
Before his Islamabad assignment, Yousaf also served as Assistant Commissioner Faisalabad.
During his tenure in the federal capital, Yousaf was among Islamabad officials recognised at Aiwan-e-Sadr in May 2026 in connection with the Bari Imam anti-encroachment operation.
His transfer marks a significant administrative change within the ICT Administration, while the federal government has yet to publicly specify who will replace him as ADC General Islamabad.
