FIA Registers Case Against 10 Pakistanis Deported from Türkiye
Ten Pakistani nationals deported from Türkiye for attempting to cross the border illegally have been booked by the FIA, while investigators probe the alleged role of human smuggling agents.
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Islamabad Zone, has registered a criminal case against 10 Pakistani nationals who were deported from Türkiye after allegedly attempting to enter the country through illegal routes.
Deportees Taken Into FIA Custody
According to an FIA spokesperson, the deportees arrived at Islamabad International Airport on flight 9P747, where FIA Immigration officials took them into custody and handed them over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC), Islamabad, for further legal action.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the deportees had allegedly paid between Rs200,000 and Rs1.2 million to various agents in an attempt to reach Türkiye through illegal migration routes. Turkish authorities reportedly arrested them at different times before deporting them to Pakistan.
The deportees belong to Rawalpindi, Layyah, Sialkot, Lahore, Peshawar, Swabi, Dera Ismail Khan, Sargodha, and Mansehra.
Investigation Into Alleged Human Smuggling Network
Investigators also found that, except for Muhammad Naeem, none of the deportees had an official departure record in Pakistan’s Integrated Border Management System (IBMS).
Muhammad Naeem had legally departed Pakistan via the Taftan border on November 19, 2025.
The FIA said the suspects allegedly obtained visas and travel arrangements through agents identified as Arslan, Ahsan, Haji Qari, Irfan, Usman, and others. A case has been registered under Sections 3 and 4 of the Passport Act, 1974, through FIR No. AHTC-ICT-549/26, while investigations into the alleged human smuggling network are ongoing.
