Islamabad Police’s SWAT Constable Found Dead in Suspected Suicide

Hassan Raza, recently posted with Islamabad Police’s SWAT force, reportedly died from a gunshot wound as police investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

ISLAMABAD: An Islamabad Police official, identified as Hassan Raza, has died in an apparent suicide involving a firearm, according to preliminary information regarding the incident.

The incident was reported within the jurisdiction of Humak Police Station. Initial information suggests that Raza allegedly shot himself, although the circumstances and reasons behind the incident have not yet been established.

Official Served in SWAT Force

Hassan Raza was reportedly serving with the SWAT force of Islamabad Police at the time of the incident and was a resident of Sawan Camp along GT Road.

Following the incident, his body was shifted to Federal Government Polyclinic Hospital for medico-legal proceedings.

Police Investigate Circumstances

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding Raza’s death. Investigators are expected to examine available evidence and other relevant factors to determine what led to the incident.
