Police have launched an investigation after two people, including a woman, were killed in a traffic accident on Islamabad’s Srinagar Highway reportedly involving vehicles allegedly racing at high speed.

ISLAMABAD: Two people, including a woman, were killed in a traffic accident on Srinagar Highway in Islamabad, according to initial information received from the scene.

Police Investigating Accident

The accident reportedly occurred while vehicles were allegedly racing at high speed on the highway. The precise circumstances leading to the collision, including the vehicles and individuals involved, have yet to be officially established.

Both victims succumbed to their injuries, while their bodies were shifted to a hospital for necessary medico-legal procedures.

Police reached the scene following the accident and initiated an investigation to determine the sequence of events and establish responsibility.

Further details, including the identities of the deceased, were not immediately available.
