ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday ordered authorities to transfer former prime minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital in Islamabad today, marking a significant development in proceedings concerning his health and medical treatment.
Three-Member Bench Issues Direction
According to reports from the court proceedings, a three-member Supreme Court bench headed by Justice Shahid Waheed issued the direction for Khan’s transfer to the private hospital.
Justices Naeem Akhtar Afghan and Ishtiaq Ibrahim were also part of the bench.
The court directed the relevant authorities to ensure that the PTI founder is shifted to Shifa International Hospital the same day.
