FIA Widens Human Placenta Investigation, Five Suspects to Be Produced Before Court

Islamabad: The investigation into the alleged recovery of human biological material from a premises in Islamabad’s upscale Sector F-7/1 has been expanded, with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) widening the scope of its inquiry, according to sources. Investigators are now examining records and conducting further scrutiny involving hospitals in Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Peshawar to determine the origin and movement of the recovered material.

According to sources, investigators are focusing on identifying where the placental tissue was obtained, who supplied it and where it was allegedly being transported. The inquiry is also examining whether the material was processed and misrepresented before being supplied through an alleged network. During the raid, authorities reportedly recovered a large quantity of processed human placenta from the premises.

Sources said three foreign nationals and two Pakistani suspects are currently in FIA custody on a four-day physical remand. The two Pakistani suspects are alleged to have worked as drivers and are suspected of facilitating the transportation and logistics of the alleged supply network. All five suspects are expected to be produced before the relevant court on Tuesday after the completion of their remand period.

The investigation remains ongoing and authorities are continuing to collect evidence and verify the alleged links between the suspects and healthcare facilities. No formal charges have yet been proven in court and the allegations remain subject to investigation and judicial proceedings.
