Passenger Offloaded at Islamabad Airport Over Fake US Green Card
FIA says the Peshawar resident was intercepted during secondary profiling before boarding PIA flight PK-841 and later handed over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle Islamabad for further investigation.
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration authorities at Islamabad International Airport offloaded a Saudi Arabia-bound passenger after allegedly discovering that his tourist visa had been obtained using a fake US Permanent Resident Card, according to a statement issued by the FIA’s Islamabad Zone.

The action took place on August 8, 2026, when FIA Immigration officials subjected a passenger travelling to Saudi Arabia aboard Pakistan International Airlines flight PK-841 to secondary profiling.
According to the FIA, the passenger is a resident of Peshawar district. During detailed scrutiny of his travel documents, immigration officials allegedly found that the Saudi tourist visa had been secured on the basis of a fraudulent or misrepresented US Permanent Resident Card, commonly known as a Green Card.
The FIA said that during preliminary questioning, the passenger claimed he had obtained the visa after paying Rs220,000 to an agent identified only as Hussain.
Authorities subsequently prevented the passenger from travelling and handed him over to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC), Islamabad, for further legal proceedings and investigation.
Investigation Underway
The FIA has not publicly disclosed further identifying details about the passenger or the alleged agent in the information reviewed for this report. It also remains to be established through investigation how the allegedly forged residency document was prepared or supplied and whether other individuals were involved.
The case comes amid the FIA Immigration Wing’s broader responsibility for screening international passengers and identifying irregular or fraudulent travel documentation at Pakistan’s ports of entry and departure. FIA records also identify Islamabad International Airport and the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle as part of its immigration and anti-human-trafficking enforcement framework.
Further investigation into the case is underway, according to the agency.
