Fatal Gunshot From Own Weapon Kills Security Guard at PWD Jewellers
CCTV footage appears to capture the incident involving 38-year-old guard Ahsan; exact circumstances of the firearm’s discharge await official confirmation.

ISLAMABAD: A 38-year-old security guard reportedly lost his life after suffering a gunshot wound from his own weapon while on duty at a jewellery shop in the PWD area of Islamabad.
Incident at Jewellery Shop
The deceased has been identified in preliminary reports as Ahsan, who was performing security duty at a jewellery outlet near Meezan Bank in PWD when the incident occurred.
CCTV footage circulating on social media appears to show the guard outside the jewellery shop around the time of the incident. Initial information shared online claims that the guard’s firearm discharged while he was handling it, causing a fatal injury.
However, the precise circumstances surrounding the discharge — including what caused the weapon to fire — have not yet been independently established by Islamabad Tribune.
Official Findings Awaited
Searches of publicly accessible sources did not yield a detailed official police statement confirming the complete sequence of events at the time of publication.
The available footage and preliminary accounts should therefore not be treated as establishing negligence, intent or responsibility. Any definitive determination regarding the cause of the shooting would depend on the police investigation, forensic examination and other official findings.
Islamabad Tribune will update the story when verified information from Islamabad Police or other relevant authorities becomes available.
