Koral Police say two suspects were caught while allegedly collecting money from residents and plot owners, as investigators move to identify other people linked to the operation.

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have arrested two men in Ghauri Town for allegedly collecting money from residents and property owners under the guise of “security charges,” following complaints from citizens in the jurisdiction of Koral Police Station.
Two Suspects Arrested
According to an Islamabad Police spokesperson, the arrested suspects have been identified as Kamran Majeed and Kashif. Police allege that the pair approached houses and plots in Ghauri Town and demanded payments from citizens, with non-resident plot owners reportedly among those particularly targeted.

Police Warn Against Harassment and Extortion
SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza said intimidating or harassing citizens and collecting money from them would not be tolerated, adding that action would be taken without discrimination against anyone found involved.
He said protecting the lives and property of citizens remained a priority for Islamabad Police and commended SP Swan Zone Muhammad Khurram Ashraf and his team for the operation.
