Five PTI-Backed MNAs Detained Under 3-MPO in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have reportedly detained two more PTI-backed members of the National Assembly, Muhammad Jamal Ahsan Khan and Mian Ghous Muhammad, bringing the reported number of detained lawmakers to five.
According to initial information, the lawmakers have been taken into custody under Section 3 of the Maintenance of Public Order (3-MPO). The latest detentions come amid heightened security arrangements in the federal capital ahead of planned political activities.
Official National Assembly records confirm that Muhammad Jamal Ahsan Khan represents NA-89 Mianwali-I, while Mian Ghous Muhammad represents NA-170 Rahim Yar Khan-II. Both are currently listed as independent members in the National Assembly’s official directory.
The reported detention of the two lawmakers takes the total number of MNAs taken into custody by Islamabad Police to five, according to the information available at this stage. Further details regarding the detention orders, duration of custody and legal proceedings are awaited.
