24 Capital Schools to Remain Closed Tomorrow for Police Stay
All other educational institutions will remain open; selected schools in G-6, F-6, F-7, G-7 and peripheral areas are being used to accommodate police personnel deployed for security duties.
ISLAMABAD: Authorities have decided to keep 24 public educational institutions in the federal capital closed from Monday, September 22, as part of security arrangements linked to planned political marches and demonstrations in Islamabad.
The closure applies only to the 24 institutions identified for temporary use by the administration, while all other educational institutions across Islamabad are expected to remain open and continue academic activities as usual.
According to reports, police personnel deployed in the capital for security and law-and-order duties are being accommodated at the selected educational institutions, requiring teaching activities at those campuses to be suspended temporarily.
The affected institutions include schools in sectors G-6, F-6, F-7 and G-7, while selected educational facilities in Tarnol, Sangjani, Sihala, Nara and the Rawal Dam area are also included in the closure arrangements.
Closure Linked to Protest Security Preparations
The move comes as authorities strengthen security preparations in Islamabad ahead of a series of planned political demonstrations and marches. The News reported that the district administration had taken control of 24 public schools as part of the wider security deployment.
Parents and students should therefore verify the status of their individual institution rather than assume a citywide closure, as the reported decision is limited to the specified 24 institutions.
