Fire Erupts at a Restaurant Located in Islamabad’s F-10 Sector

Rescue teams extinguish blaze at restaurant in Islamabad's F-10 sector; no loss of life reported as cooling operations continue.

ISLAMABAD, October 9, 2026: A fire broke out at a restaurant in Islamabad’s F-10 sector on Friday, prompting an emergency response from rescue services. Authorities confirmed that the blaze had been brought under control and that no loss of life had been reported.

According to rescue officials, emergency response teams reached the restaurant following reports of the incident and initiated firefighting operations to contain the flames.

The responding personnel successfully extinguished the fire, preventing the situation from continuing to escalate.

Cooling Operations Underway

Rescue authorities confirmed that no fatalities had been reported in the incident, while cooling operations remained underway at the affected premises.

The cooling process is intended to reduce residual heat and minimise the possibility of flames reigniting after the initial firefighting operation.

The restaurant’s identity, the precise location where the fire originated, and the extent of property damage have not yet been officially disclosed.

Similarly, the cause of the incident remains unconfirmed, and no findings regarding a possible electrical fault, kitchen equipment malfunction or other contributing factor have been announced.

Islamabad Fire Safety Under Scrutiny

The incident comes amid increased attention to fire safety in Islamabad’s commercial buildings and public facilities.

According to figures released by the Capital Emergency Service earlier this month, emergency responders handled 82 fire-related incidents across Islamabad during September 2026, including 17 involving buildings or commercial areas.

Separately, the Capital Development Authority has recently intensified enforcement of fire and life safety requirements across the federal capital.

Further information regarding the F-10 restaurant incident is awaited from the relevant authorities.
