PAF Group Captain Murder Case: Key Suspect Arrested
Police say the suspect was taken into custody as the investigation into the fatal shooting of Group Captain Asim Tariq continues.

ISLAMABAD: A major development has emerged in the investigation into the killing of Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Group Captain Asim Tariq, with police sources confirming the arrest of a key suspect.
According to sources, the arrested suspect is a 20-year-old resident of Band Khanna Road, within the jurisdiction of Khanna Police Station. He has completed matriculation and had previously worked as a salesman at an electronics shop.
Sources said the suspect allegedly attempted to forcibly take a young woman with him, but she refused, leading to a physical altercation between the two.
The Group Captain reportedly stopped after noticing the alleged struggle and intervened to prevent the suspect from forcing the woman. Sources claimed the suspect became enraged and allegedly opened fire at the Group Captain, who was sitting in his vehicle, before fleeing the scene.
The suspect has since been taken into custody. Police are continuing the investigation to establish the full facts and circumstances surrounding the incident.
