ICT Administration Revises Magistrates’ Territorial Jurisdictions

ISLAMABAD: The Office of the Chief Commissioner, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), has issued a notification approving changes to the territorial jurisdiction of Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs), revising the police station-wise administrative responsibilities of several Assistant Commissioners across the federal capital.
According to the notification dated June 24, 2026, the changes have been made under Section 4(1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, read with the relevant provisions of the Islamabad Capital Territory (Administration) Order, 1980, and other enabling legal authorities.
Under the revised jurisdiction:
City Assistant Commissioner will continue to oversee Aabpara, Kohsar, and Women Police Stations.
Rural Assistant Commissioner will now have jurisdiction over Kirpa, Sihala, Lohi Bher, and Humak Police Stations, with Koral Police Station removed.
Saddar Assistant Commissioner will retain Sangjani, Tarnol, and Sumbal Police Stations, while Golra Police Station has been excluded.
Secretariat Assistant Commissioner will continue to supervise Secretariat, Bhara Kahu, Bani Gala, and Phulgran Police Stations.
Industrial Area Assistant Commissioner will continue to oversee I-9, Karachi Company, and Margalla Police Stations.
Nilore Assistant Commissioner has been assigned Koral Police Station in addition to Khanna, Shahzad Town, and Nilore Police Stations.
Potohar Assistant Commissioner will continue to supervise Sabzi Mandi, Noon, and Shams Colony Police Stations.
Shalimar Assistant Commissioner will now oversee Ramna, Shalimar, and Golra Sharif (Golra Police Station), reflecting the transfer of Golra from the Saddar Sub-Division.
The notification states that the revised jurisdictions have been approved by the Chief Commissioner, Islamabad Capital Territory, and will govern the territorial authority of the respective Sub-Divisional Magistrates for administrative and magisterial functions.
The notification was issued by Deputy Director (Admin) Ch. Muhammad Afzal on the orders of the Chief Commissioner, ICT.
