SSP Operations Orders Transparent Inquiry into Viral Chinese Woman Incident

SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza directs ASP Kohsar to conduct a fair inquiry; police say the matter appears civil in nature based on initial information.

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Police have initiated a formal inquiry into the viral social media video involving a foreign woman, with senior police officials ordering a transparent investigation into the incident.

According to Islamabad Police spokesperson, SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza took immediate notice of the matter and directed SDPO Kohsar/ASP Nosherwan to conduct a comprehensive, impartial and transparent inquiry.
Police said that, according to preliminary information, the dispute appears to be civil in nature. Authorities will bring both parties together and attempt to resolve the issue through mutual understanding and reconciliation, while the inquiry proceeds.

Separately, DIG Islamabad also took immediate notice of the incident and directed SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza to ensure a transparent investigation.

The DIG stated that strict action will be taken against anyone found responsible after completion of the inquiry. He reiterated that, based on initial findings, the matter appears to be of a civil nature and efforts will be made to resolve it through dialogue between both parties.
The inquiry comes after a video circulating on social media allegedly showed a foreign woman involved in an altercation with police personnel at Kohsar Police Station, prompting public attention and calls for an official investigation.
